Full strip and re-roof under a temporary scaffold roof so the house stayed dry throughout. New breathable membrane, treated battens, and clay interlocking tiles. Ridge fitted with a dry ridge system for maintenance-free performance.
Structural Roof Timber Repairs
Mullion, Cornwall
Rotten rafters and wall plates cut out and replaced with new treated timber before re-covering. Everything checked for level and fall so the new roof sits true and drains properly.

Modern breathable membrane laid over the whole roof with new treated battens set to gauge. Dry verge and eaves trays fitted so there's no mortar to fail in Cornish weather.

Strip, Re-felt & Re-batten

Blown and flaking render stripped back to sound material, patched to match, and the whole cottage repainted in a breathable masonry paint. Walls now shed water instead of soaking it up.
